Today I invite you to join me on this little trip into a new culinary world, and maybe I'll see you next time at the International Green Week 2016.
Russia: The country of honey, fish and reindeer
Russia is famous for its caviar, thus it was no surprise that you could buy it everywhere. My dad really loves it, so I bought these 5 small tins for him. The black one is salmon caviar and the yellow one cod caviar. Of course, the best caviar is sturgeon caviar, but I didn't have 70 Euro to spare to buy one small jar.
Below you see a whole smoked sturgeon. The meat was really buttery and with a nice wood flavour.
Ukraine: Lovely Pierogies
Cameroon, Morocco and Iran: Beer, Oil and Dates
These fresh organic dates from Iran are so delicious. They are soft and their sweetness isn't overwhelming. I only bought one package, which I kind of regret by now. Still, I will use them as a healthy snack in between work or studying.
Great Britain: Fudge, Jam and Cheese
Tibet: Tea and Spices
Latvia: Take you time
Romania: Cheese and Meat
Germany: Salami and fish
Austria and Switzerland: Cheese, cheese and cheese again
Italy: The cradle of yummy
And finally: RABBITS :)
The first one was shown 1893 at an exhibition here in Chemnitz, the city where I study. What a coincidence :)
